The Department of Teacher Education and Curriculum Study was recently established in 2022 as part of a strategic effort to meet the increasing demand for highly qualified educational professionals in the area of curriculum, instruction, and teachers’ professional development. Recognizing the pivotal role the department plays in the success of educational institutions, it was established with a vision to deliver high-quality education and training that empowers future leaders in this domain.

Mission
Producing graduates who are responsible and competent in knowledge, skills, attitudes and ethics by providing quality, relevant and fair education and training, conducting problem-solving studies, and providing need-based community service.
Academic Programs in the Department: the Department of Teacher Education and Curriculum Study offers academic programs that blend theoretical and practical training to equip students and professionals with the knowledge and skills needed to address the diverse challenges in curriculum and instruction.
- Undergraduate Program: Bachelor of Education in Teacher Education and Curriculum Study: This program equips students with a robust foundation in curriculum, instructional practice and teachers’ professional development. The program aims to prepare students for careers in curriculum and training.
- Postgraduate Program: Master of Education in Curriculum and This advanced program is tailored for educators and professionals aiming to enhance their expertise in curriculum and instruction. The curriculum explores advanced topics like educational research, instructional design, program planning, and global education reform perspectives.
- Research and Development: The department places a strong emphasis on research and development, encouraging both faculty and students to engage in research projects that address current challenges and innovations in curriculum, instructional practice, teacher professional development, students’ learning.
- Community Engagement and Partnerships: The Department of Teacher Education and Curriculum Study actively engages with a wide range of educational stakeholders, including institutions, government agencies, nonprofits, and international organizations, to improve educational quality and advance best practices in educational leadership and management.
- Facilities and Resources: The department is led by a team of qualified academic personnel, including 4 PhD and Assistant Professors as well as 1 Lecturer, who provide robust support for the scholarly and research pursuits of both students and faculty, thereby cultivating an environment conducive to learning and innovation.
